Celebrating Emma’s 104th Journey Around the Sun!
With Delicious Cake, A Birthday Buddy, and a Snow Cone Social

Today was a day of genuine joy and heartfelt celebrations at our Home, as we honored Emma’s incredible 104th birthday and Susan Peterson’s special day too!

In the bustling second-floor dining room, the atmosphere buzzed with excitement, as Emma’s daughter Suzanne joined her for a delightful lunch. Sr. Magella meticulously arranged three candles on Emma’s cake, a 1, a 0, and a 4! As Sister delivered the cake, Mother Margaret Regina, along with several of the Sisters and Residents sang a joyful and rousing rendition of “Happy Birthday,” to Emma. “Happy Birthday” Emma!

Meanwhile, on the first-floor, Sr. Jacintha graciously lit the vibrant candles on Susan’s cake, casting a flickering glow. In a heartwarming display of unity, Mother Margaret Regina stepped in to join everyone in the dining room in surrounding Susan with love and singing an enthusiastic “Happy Birthday.” Susan’s radiant smile lit up the room as she joyfully chimed in, her voice harmonizing with the chorus of celebration.

Later in the day, Residents gathered in the café for a celebratory snow cone social. Many took the opportunity to capture a photo with Emma, who opted for a refreshing lemon-lime snow cone. As for Susan, she indulged in the tantalizing sour cherry flavor, adding an extra burst of sweetness to her special day.

It is moments like these that we cherish and hold dear, where shared happiness fills our hearts as we join Emma and Susan in celebrating their extraordinary journeys.
